On Monday, May 4th, 2015 BXIHS Class of '15 student Darinel Montero was selected to share his life journey to an audience at Lehman College. Darinel also received the opportunity to meet and introduce President Barack Obama. The President was visiting the Bronx to introduce his "My Brother's Keeper" initiative: a private non-profit outgrowth of the White House initiative he launched last year to help young men of color. It was an honor and experience that Mr. Montero will never forget!

Did you know?! Educational publication, Getting Smart, recently ranked Bronx International High School as one of the top 66 Middle & High Schools worth visiting in the United States. What an honor! Here's what they had to say:
"Bronx International High School, opened in 2004 as part of the NYC small schools initiative, was the fourth school in the Internationals Network which serves immigrant youth new to English. The network of 18 schools integrates language development and academic content while building student and family capacity for integration into American society."
On Wednesday, October 21st, 2015, students from Bronx International High School had the opportunity to travel to downtown Manhattan and visit the Contently headquarters. While there, students participated in a career panel where they learned about the many types of jobs available at Digital Content Marketing agencies. Sales, marketing, coding, tech? All of the above!
Thanks to Contently for allowing the students of BXIHS to learn about your awesome agency!
Congratulations to the winners of the first ever C/I Student Incubator! The team of Detzani Campos, Sidi Fall, Oumar Koulibaly, Olenny Polanco, Ana Reyes and Moubarak Teouri competed at C/I's Microsoft-hosted Hackathon in January and took home the prize for "Best Design." This allowed them to participate in a Student Incubator in which they had the opportunity to develop their app and pitch it for a competition to take part in the 2015 Social Media Week in Manhattan!
The team's app: Know Your Neighbor or #KYN won first place and not only got to present their app to an audience at Social Media Week, but also got to meet Civil Rights Activist and Leader Reverend Jesse Jackson! During their presentation the hashtag #SMWDiversity was trending throughout the nation.
